Dermal fillers

DERMAL FILLERS

Restoring volume and shape.

Dermal fillers are effective at creating fuller lips, augmenting facial contours including the chin, jaw and cheeks, as well as enhancing the under-eyes (tear trough), and reducing lines around the mouth and nose.

We use only high quality dermal fillers that contain naturally occurring hyaluronic acid which mimics the effects of lost collagen.

Dermal fillers are a safe treatment. Local anaesthetic applied to the skin and within the product help to maximise comfort. And you can expect results lasting 6-12 months, or longer depending on the exact treatment.

Every treatment is carried out safely by a fully qualified medical professional, and includes a comprehensive assessment to create a personalised treatment plan, with complete aftercare instructions and follow-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.
Do I need to do anything after the treatment?
A.

Aftercare is simple so you can carry on with your daily life other than avoiding strenuous gym, saunas or steam rooms for the first 48 hours. You should avoid lying flat or rubbing the area for 6 hours.

Q.
How long can I expect my results to last?
A.

This depends on the treatment area, and will be discussed during your consultation. Generally, the results will last up to 12 months, although in some cases this may be up to 18 months.

Q.
How soon will it take to see the result?
A.

Dermal fillers can take up to 2 weeks to settle, during which time any swelling will also reduce.

Q.
Are dermal fillers safe?
A.

Yes, when inserted by trained medical professionals, they have a very low complication rate. They contain naturally occurring hyaluronic acid which is broken down by the body over time.

Q.
Are there any side effects?
A.

Some redness, swelling and tenderness immediately after the treatment are normal, and should disappear within a few days. Much less common side effects are possible and these will be discussed in detail with you before any treatment.

Q.
Does treatment hurt?
A.

We use fillers that contain a numbing anaesthetic, and we also apply a numbing cream on the skin to ensure you are comfortable during your treatment.
